I'm looking for a public domain or commercially available set of routines
(preferably source) for loading either Alias or Softimage animation data
(including transforms, paths, and morphs if possible) into some form of a
Performer runtime database. I understand the conversion issues well enough
but I'd like to not recreate the wheel if possible.

And I'd prefer not to use any commercial API (e.g., Softimage game SDK) just
for the loader _if_ that precludes me from using Performer directly.

BTW, I can find several paths for loading basic geometry but I haven't found
any that include animation data. I'm sure someone's already written this (as
we did in my former company) but I need something that's not proprietary.

Thanks for any help.

Avi

P.S. If there are none, then I'll need to hire a consultant who can write
this. Has anyone used a consultant they'd like to recommend?
