Hi,

        Speaking in general terms, all the imediate mode performance has been
greatly increased due the new bandwidth host - Gfx, although the internal
graphics pipeline architecture/speeds is nearly identical.

        If your application was host limited (bandwidth in/out the pipe), CPU
limited (processing of the delivery for OpenGL calls) or if you performed large
pixel transfers (glDrawPixels/glReadPixels) - texture paging then Onyx2 IR
should boost your application.

        I don't know which numbers we have been published but I have seen over
337 MB/s (glDrawPixels) on Onyx2 IR for 1kx1k about four weeks ago. I think
that this is also the number for texture paging. On Onyx (1) it was 180MB/s,
now it is over 300MB/s, in fact I think that the latest number is probably 340
MB/s.

        Off course if your texture transfers were very small (set up limited)
then you might not see so huge numbers.

        Also on the CPU side, I have seen very impressive improvements, since
very few applications fit on any secundary CPU cache (now 4MB); therefore the
new amazing bandwidth in/out main memory (independent of the number of CPUs
!!!!) helps a lot.

        Regarding hardware display list mode, you will see the same performance
that before if you where using the display list memory cache in IR. (!!!).
