Fellow Performers,

We are in the process of upgrading our "old" ONYX RE2 to InfiniteReality
graphics. One option is to retrofit the IR graphics subsytem with 2-RM6-64
with R10000's replacing our R4400's, The other, significantly more
expensive option is to get a totally new ONYX2 IR system and surplus our
"old" ONYX to another project. The question that I have is just how much
of a performance increase graphics-wise will the ONYX2 system have over the
upgraded ONYX system? Will the lack of ONYX2 XBOW for instance greatly
limit my texture loading rates for instance? Just how much does the ONYX2
architecture do for graphics? I would be grateful for any inputs.

Thanks,
