We had a similar effect actually with rendering at 50fps vs 25fps, 50fps
is visually smoother, though we were explicitly asked to render at 25fps
because the "effect" was better (probably as that is what advertisers got
with film). Remember this is all Televison animation I am talking about here
and interlace is a significant factor in that, though the basic principle
I presume stays the same.
