I've come to realize that using only two question marks was
insufficient to indicate the incredulity I attempted to infer
in my original comment. :-)

I would like to better understand exactly what Blinn is
describing. Is the term "conventional animators"
(perhaps meaning hand-drawn cel animation) significant
to the context of his comment?

Steve, could you post the URL to the original document?
