The relnotes for Performer 2.1 do say that officially it's only tested on
Infinite Reality but that it should be OK on other platforms. We've actually
found more and more people running pf 2.1 on other platforms such as Impact
with no problems ( at least not associated with pf 2.1 specifically ).

I'd say go with pf 2.1 - we certianly don't turn support calls away because a
customer is running 2.1 on a non-iR machine. I suppose you could say that now
2.1 has been pretty well tested on other platforms since those relnotes were
written.

A couple of things to note:

Most of the benefits of 2.1 will only be seen by iR.
The differences between 2.1 and 2.0 are pretty techy - if you need info like
this in the future then by all means use sales as one channel but don't
hestitate to speak to tech. support as well. Obviously Performer specific
queries like this one are ideal for this forum too.

Hope this clears things up - let me know if you have anymore questions.

Cheers
Rob
