We have a 8 R10000 CPUs IR with 2 graphic pipes. The CPUs had the problem that
SGI announced, even so, it didn't affect us. Our SGI Field Service Engineer
said it was mostly a heat problem. As far as performance, I haven't done any
benchmarks, but we have noticed that our visual simulation is running
noticeably faster.

The only problems we have had, had to do with the differences IR versus RE, GL
versus OpenGL, and software patches, etc. In other words, the usual stuff you
see in the Performer mailing list.
