pfLPointState (and fading near envelope limits)

Hey all,

Situation:
        (building VASI, PAPI and their varients.)

I've got two points occupying the same space but each is only visible
when viewed within their vertical (and horiz) envelope. As soon as I
pass the limit of one envelope I wish to have the other visible. This
does happen, but as I approach the limit of the envelope the light
intensity fades. I do not wish this to happen.

Question:
How/where can I specify that I don't want the point (pfLPointState) to
fade as it nears the border(s) of it's envelope.
