Mark, I recall that in your original posting, you mentioned you wanted to
do collision detection between objects. This is difficult to implement
using Isectors. We've used a different approach based on Oriented Bounding
Boxes as presented in a SIGGRAPH paper this summer. Contact S. Gottschalk
at geom++at++cs.unc.edu for more info in the RAPID library. We've used it
successfully on a research project requiring collision detection between
complex shapes such as a space station, a shuttle, a satellite and
connected bodies comprising the arms on both the shuttle and the space
station.
