HUD examples using Performer

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope that this questions hasn't been asked to many times before but...
can anyone direct me to or share an example of a simple generic HUD
application based on Performer 2.1?? I'm specifically having trouble with
the scrolling heading display at the top of the HUD. My thanks in advance.
