pftoiv1.1 and Performer 2.1 problem

I am having a problem getting pftoiv1.1 from sgigate.sgi.com to work on
my IR. When using pfconv to write out an iv file, it core dumps.

Has anyone managed to get a pftoiv1.1 working with Performer 2.1?
