I've been looking at the libpf version of movietex (it
was posted to this mailing list) and notice that the
draw callback needs a
        glXMakeCurrentReadSGI(...)
before refreshing the video texture.

In fact, if this call is not made, Performer (2.1 and OpenGL on IRIX 6.2,
with RE2 and Sirius) seems to "forget" the source of the texture
(and refreshes from the framebuffer) even if the texture is
created with pfTexLoadMode(tex, PFTEX_LOAD_SOURCE, PFTEX_SOURCE_VIDEO)

Shouldn't the pfTexLoadMode make the glXMakeCurrentReadSGI unnecessary?
(And, if not, it would be good to mention the need for glXMakeCurrentReadSGI
in the pfTexLoadMode documentation.)
