Hi,

See below for pfdStoreFile() which works on Inventor
files (*.iv as argument)

There is. Gavin Bell (formerly of Inventor group) wrote one,
Jim Helman updated it for Performer 2.0, and I set it up
to work with pfdStoreFile as a DSO. The Ftp URLs are below:

ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/Performer/src/pf2.0/pftoiv1.0.tar.Z
Original by Gavin, Jim Helman.
This builds command line executable pftoiv that loads
anything Performer loads, and saves to Inentor 2.x

ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/Performer/src/pf2.0/pftoiv1.1.tar.Z
This builds DSO for Inventor allowing pfdStoreFile for
inventor extension to work. In pfstoreiv.C there
is the commented-out main that would build pftoiv as above.
Bug fixes in here as well.
