Intersections with pfStrings

I was wondering if anyone has had some experiece using the pfStringIsectSegs
function. I seem to be having problems getting any intersections. I use
intersections heavily in my software so I am familiar with masks and all of
that. Is there anything peculiar or different about this. Thanks for any
help.
