I would like to display a color key in a HUD overlay plane. The color key is
ageoset containing a simple textured polygon. I would like to overlay this 2-D
color key over a pseudo-colored 3-D surface so that key remains fixed as the
user flies over the surface.

My question is what is the best way to display 2-D textured polygons in a HUD
overlay? In Performer using geoset or using OpenGL?

I'm running Performer 2.0, OpenGL, C++ on a Maximum IMPACT under IRIX 5.3.

Any assistance will be appreciated.
