I'm a bit behind on my info-performer reading but...

In addition to what's been said already, here's a superlightweight
IRIS GL method:

[within the draw callback; also note that Performer coords
 have been rotated so that Z is up]

   cmov(x,y,z);
   getcpos(&sx, &sy);
