I was thinking way toooo Performer2.1 centric when I answered this the
first time so I wanted to correct/clarify:

I was thinking soly in the context of the specific new advanced terrain support in
IRIS Performer2.1. However, as most on this list already know, terrain can most definitely
be efficiently rendered and paged with the general LOD and database paging facilities
IRIS Performer 2.0. I am just so excited about the new Active Surface Definition library
that I got a little carried away :-)
