stefan,
we here at coryphaeus have products that will read wavefront keyframe
animation and character animation files into our real-time (performer-based)
system. the keyframe animation is not *steerable* when inside the
interactive environment but it can interact with other elements (an example
of this is a bird flying around). the character animation data can be either
softbodied or hardbodied (rigid transformations) and is controllable withing
the interactive environment. to the best of our knowledge we are the only
company with this capability.

with our new product activation - real-time graphics software to prototype
interactive 3D games - we will also be able to read in alias, softimage, 3d
studio, nichiman, etc.. geometry formats with textures and materials.
contact me directly if you would like anymore information
