I have been developing Performer applications since 1.0 but wouldn't
call myself a guru and don't know very much about the vis/sim world
outside of Performer/SGI. There have been a lot of inquiries about
developing low end applications running on other platforms. I don't
have any real desire to do this but I see a market forming (or it
is already formed) and I will have to be responsive to it to stay
competitive (keep my job).

I remember some discussion some time ago about an OpenPerformer.

Are there any plans to produce such a product?

What is this COSMO product and how does it relate to Performer?

Does anyone know what is going on with this?
