I finally have a functioning Impact. And I thought I'd send out a note
with my success for other Impact Users.

I had to install the following patches:

        - 1098 Xserver
        - 1105 GFX - showstopper #1
        - 1157 hinv fix (the feel good patch of the season)

I was a little frustrated by the performance of the Impact prior
to these patches. But now every seems to be on track. I would like to request
that news like that this get passed along from SGI participants whenever it is
appropriate. The side comment from Allan Schaefer was what clued me in to the
new set of patches!
