PfiPick path access?

Hi,

I'm using the PfiPick functions from a C app.
I wanted to get the path associated with the pick, so added a C binding
for the getPath C++ method.

However, the path in the structure is not being used,
a local path variable is loaded in _doPick instead.

My Questions::::
Is this a known problem?
Is it safe for me to change pfiPick.C to load the path in the structure,
or are there side effects that I don't see?
