In general we would like to relay for both disotortion correction and blending
on the display system (i.e. we have here two SEOS Prodas with 3 channels and
155 degrees which perform the blending and the distortion correction).

In case that the display system can not deal with distortion correction or
blending (like some LCD light valve projectors) then you have to go in a trade
off of distortion correction vs. resolution/n_RMs.

In cases of blending for LCD projectors the developer/integrator could use a
2D polymesh frame with source alpha and HIGH quality alpha to make a digital
blending. There is a small overhead of fill rate depending on the area being
fade but ... this is again a developer choice.

We are not planning any specific support for this blending since we prefer to
relay on integrators. SGI is not an integrator and we will not compete with our
own clients (integrators). Anyway the implementation of this aproach is easy
using libpr or ogl in the draw callback.
