These demos will quickly show the value of adding spatial
audio to your visual simulation and will run on
any SGI computer supporting internal audio capability.
Both Stereo and Quad are supported on your SGI workstation
through the audio outputs provided on your workstation.
AudioWorks2 is the premier audio simulation development
environment for Silicon Graphics workstations, providing
the developer and end-user with high-level control of
multiple sound emitters and listeners in a virtual space.
As users move objects and listeners and modify environmental
and object sounds, AudioWorks2 automatically calculates
physical sound effects for each sound emitter and listener
(such as Doppler shifts and propagation delays), prioritizes
all simulation sounds and controls the sound generation
hardware. AudioWorks2 also comes with Audition, the new
real-time sound wave editor from Paradigm.
AudioWorks2 can be used stand alone with any 3D real-time graphics
system. AudioWorks2 is also fully integrated with Vega, Paradigm's
Performer based 3D graphics development environment.

AudioWorks2 supports outboard rendering engines in addition
to SGI audio hardware. Currently shipping is support for
Paradigm's Sound Engine II and the Acoustetron II from
Crystal River Engineering.
