I know it's odd a SIlicon Graphics person asking this question on a public Mail
list but one of you is bound to know more than I do today...

I use IRIS GL fbsubtexload in my distortion correction Performer 1.2 app.
I am keen to try it on an infinite reality but I have not yet found a machine
that responds sensibly to

man glCopyTexImage2DEXT or
man glCopyTexSubImage2DEXT...

I use fbsubtexload with the "special modifier" flag of 1, which although poorly
documented seems to allow transfer of packed 16 bit texels. If anyone can shed
light on the OPENGL equivalent that would be nice.

I have been cautiously told to expect around 80 M texels/s for framebuffer to
texture RAM copies. - thats fbsubtexloads not subtexloads.

distortion correction for twisted minds...

ANgus
