OK, but why do the decals work perfectly when the a107 (pf2 beta)
version of the loader is used ??? We are seeing the same flickering problem
as others have described and (as others have described) changing the
PFFLT_LAYER loader modes doesn't fix anything.... However, when no other
change is made but to use the version of the loader dated November 2nd,
the flickering disappears. Same database, same application. In fact the
flickering is there both in the version shipped with Performer 2.0
(dated December 2nd) and the MR version (dated January 6th).

OpenGL is not an option for us at present and the performance hit for
using stenciling is not really going to be acceptable. At the moment
(at least for the database we are using) the only solution seems to be to
use an old version of the loader... Perhaps the loader could partially
revert to its November 1995 incarnation :-)
