Hi everyone,

   My basic question is :

Does anyone know of a faster way to format texture other than calling
pfFormatTex in the DRAW process of a Performer 2.0 application ?
I am running IRIS GL on a RE 2 system.

Has anyone attempted pre-formatting rgb texture files offline and then
reading them in with Performer and attaching them to a pfTexture
instantiation by the .flt loader ? Does pfFormatTex do something different
in IRIS GL than OPEN GL ( i.e. open gl expects texture in R G B A
ordering as opposed to A B G R in IRIS gl, and so is formatting faster in
open gl ?) ?
Or is there another format or tool set out there that someone has come
up with that can translate .flt files to a more optimal format with respect
to texture loading ?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

   Ted
