To substitute the extention in csh style shell, use $pic:r which will
remove .* from the variable.

i.e.
change:
        imgcopy -fsgi -Crgb $pic $pic.rgb

to:
        imgcopy -fsgi -Crgb $pic $pic:r.rgb
