I'm trying to mark a far away object that is too far to be "seen" on the
screen. I'd like to draw a red square around the object, thus making it
easier to tell which direction to look for it. I've seen this effect in
Coryphaeus' Alladin demo, where an arrow points at the object. I'd like
the marker to stay one size, regardless of the distance away the object is.

My guess is to somehow get the 2d viewport coordinates of the object, then
draw a 2d overlaid square around it. Anyone done this technique? Is there
an easier/better way?

Thanks!

jan.
