Since Performer's immediate mode rendering is fast enough to keep an
RE2 fully occupied, we *do not* build up any GL display lists by
default. This saves both time and memory. If you want GL display
lists for some reason, you can set the pfGSetDrawMode accordingly.
The Performer pfDispList that communicates between the cull and draw
doesn't contain any actual geometry (only pointers to pfGeoSets) and
is built every frame anyway.

If the system is pausing when an object comes into view, my first
guess would be that the object is textured and the texture needed to
be paged down to the graphics pipe. If your entire texture database
will fit in the pipe, you should pre-download all of your textures.
See pfuDownLoadTexList in libpfutil/download.c
