We have an application that allows a person wander over a very large
database and our solution is to keep track of the eyepoint but always
draw as though the eye was always at 0,0,0. The polygon vertices are
all offsets from the eyepoint. This eliminates the eye jitter problem
and curvature of the Earth/clipping plane elminates the rest.
