It is true that the speed on texture loading is very fast on Impact. But it is
also true that in RE/RE2 you have a good speed when you page bilinear textures
using in gl subtexload and in ogl glTexSubImage2DEXT.

I have seen applications running a very high frame rates with texture paging
enought to meet most of the vissim related needs.

In order to do it it is mandatory the use of preDraw/PostDraw callbacks the the
above mentioned gl/ogl API.
