3ds loader of performer

I have heard about the 3ds loader for performer. But does it only
avaliable in performer 2.0 ?

Also, does anybody out there try the conversion utility 3dsToIv which
could convert 3ds file to inventor file. It said that it could convert
texture and lighting, but I have problem in that ? Any suggestions ?
