Using an accumulation buffer to get Motion Blur

I have been trying to get motion blur for objects in my scene. Does performer
allow us to update an acculation buffer, and if so how do I access it, and then
send it thru the pipeline to be rendered? I know that OPEN-GL has specific
calls to work with an accumulation buffer.
