The 3ds reader function, as defined in pf3ds.c, uses the library
3dstfk.a for the actual reading of the 3ds file. However, when I
try to link 3dsftk.a with the rest of the code, I get the following
message:
ld:
Object file format error in: ../3dsftk.a(3dsfile.o): bad symbolic header (magic
number)
Using the command odump I could see that the magic number in the .o files
archived in 3dstfk.a is 0000500. In all other object files I use it
is 0000540. However, this does not help me, since I don't know what the
magic number is all about. Is there a solution that would enable me
to use 3dsftk.a and if not, would it be possible to get a version that
I can use?
All this refers to the Performer 2.0 version marked 'alpha73'.
Thanks a lot
Olivier
