I am trying to put together a Performer application that is somewhat
memory hungry. I need something like 200-400 Mbyte on the heap (using
normal malloc) and about 100-200 Mbyte in the shared arena.
I am working on an ONYX with 1 Gb.

Now my current problem is that I do not seem to be able to allocate
more than about 100 Mbyte on the heap. I can allocate 250 Mbyte
on the shared arena - no problem.

What can I do to change the memory configuration?

Could somebody shed some light on the relationship between the heap
and the shared arena in terms of maximum allocation size.

PS: Please forgive me if this is a completely foolish question etc.
I am posting at 4:30 in the night and my brain feels like having
a break now. So good night :)
