I am having a problem with Performer locking up. The setup
        is like this. Performer 1.2 on a 3 channel, 10 processor Onyx/RE2
(IRIX 5.3) rendering a scene in all 3 windows. Everything appears
to work fine, but eventually the whole program will freeze.
My 2 methods of debugging are to put printf's in all the pre/post
callback and to force the program to core dump (kill -7 pid).
Both indicate that the cull process has finished, but the draw
process did not start. Under IRIX 5.2, there were times that
moving the mouse would "unfreeze" the program (Hmmmmm), though I
am not using the mouse for anything (I fact I wish there was a
Performer call to shut it off, but that's a different matter)!
Most of our recent work is using Vega, but it makes no difference
if it is a Vega app or a Performer only app (Vega is ruled out).
It seemed that most of these problems ceased under IRIX 5.3 until
recently. If I run the program under "root" so that it run real-time,
locked into processors, the problem occurs more frequently.
The operating system had been our leading suspect.
We have 2 identical Onyx's that show the same problem, so the
        hardware is ruled out.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems??
