In response to talk about mail filter tools, I have put together a
collection of stuff that I use. This is the filter utility ( which can
be used standalone ) along with many tools that I frequently use to
manage the plethora of mail messages that I receive on a daily basis.
This is compatible with z-mail, elm, and/or any other mail program that
you might already be using.

Other unrelated tools that I have included are tools for setting your title
and icon title based on your directory etc.. This makes choosing which xwsh
to un-iconify a much simpler decision..

I've also included some simple scripts that allow you to play different
audio files depending on what kind of mail you get. When I receive
performer e-mail, for example, I hear the bomber sound effect from
/usr/share/data/sounds/prosonous/sfx/bomber.aiff...

There's also a perl script that will take the filter-log generated from
filter and continuously monitor it and print a colorized pretty looking
report telling you what kind of mail you have been getting and where it
is going.

And most importantly, you can now make rules like:

if to contains "info-performer" and subject contains "subscribe" then
  save "/dev/null"

The *only* thing that I ask is that you send me an e-mail if you have
positive feedback, and that (when possible) you send me enhancements
rather than bug reports.

You can retrieve the software from my web-site under "my software": If
you find any snags, please let me know as soon as possible and I'll make
reasonable efforts to rectify the problem.
