Actually, the translators are released now - free to SGI customers
(this means you!). And Acuris has been renamed to Abaco Systems, Inc.

To get the translators,

% ftp via.net
Name: anonymous
331 Guest login ok, send your complete e-mail address as password.
Password:
ftp> bin
ftp> get pub/abaco/ivtrans/sgi/alltoiv_v1.tar
ftp> exit

You will get translators which will translate from
3DStudio, Alias, DXF, Iges, Wavefront, and Softimage to Inventor.
Your software should be able to generate at least one of these?
Then use the Open Inventor loader ...
