Syncing audio to a Vis-sim app.

Hi
Has anyone tried to insert SMPTE timecodes in a Vis-Sim application?

We have a customer who has created a pre-determined path Simulation and now
wants to Sync audio tracks to it. He thought SMPTE time codes would be a good
solution if anyone has any other ideas or solutions I would very much like to
hear from you.
