I've looked at the demo available at
   ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/Performer/<something>

and it doesn't seem to be able to _export_ SGO, while it
can import the following: (size and date of the filters is given)

   60984 Aug 1 15:39 3ds_to_Medit
   60984 Aug 1 15:39 bin_to_Medit
   73768 Aug 1 15:39 dxf_to_Medit
  103464 Aug 1 15:39 flt_to_Medit
   90648 Aug 1 15:39 iv_to_Medit
   61064 Aug 1 15:39 nurb_to_Medit
   65240 Aug 1 15:39 obj_to_Medit
   90112 Aug 1 15:39 sgo_to_Medit
  106496 Aug 1 15:39 yaodl_to_medit

  and it can _export_:
   65176 Jul 31 20:40 Medit_to_dxf
   77880 Jul 31 20:41 Medit_to_flt
   69400 Jul 31 20:41 Medit_to_inventor

if you have a dxf- or an inventor- -> sgo, that's ok.
