I have been given the task of implementing a terrain data base paging
system in a Performer 1.2 application (NPSNET-IV). I have read
through previous postings about paging and know that libpf calls
should not be called from a sproc'd process with out putting a datalock
around each call in both the app process and the paging process.

I was wondering however, if I build the terrain page in a sproc'd
process (ie calling pfAddChild etc) without adding it to the main
scene graph and then pass the pointer back to the app and add the
page to the scene graph in the app, would this still have the potential
of causing contention?
