If I'm right (you never know, it is possible) the Yale
Astronomical Chart files are the same as Smithsonian
Astronomical Observatory files. (SAO for short) These can be
found at ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/xephem. They can be used by
the xephem program by Elwood Downey (ecdowney++at++noao.edu) which
is also found there. There are about 10 files (~11Megs, 3Megs
compressed) covering different sections of the sky.

Hi Everyone,

A while ago Jim Helman listed some file formats
that Performer 2.0 can handle. Lots of interesting
formats, but one that caught my interest was:

yale Astronomy chart translator

Does anyone have a set of star chart files in this
format that is publicly available?

Thanks,
