libpfutil GUI font corruption

Hi,

I'm making an application based on the Perfly demo and I'm using the
Performer GUI utilities in the libpfutil library. I want to draw overlaid
text using the Font Manager but unfortunately this appears to corrupt the
GUI fonts which also use the Font Manager. The GUI functions assume the
current font has not changed between redraws.

Unfortunately the Font Manager does not allow you to inquire the current
font so there appears to be no way to restore the GUI font. A workaround
is to press F1 twice forcing the whole GUI to be redrawn but this is not
satisfactory. Any suggestions?

I'm using Performer 1.2, IRIX 5.3 on an Onyx RE2.
