Take a look at "snapwin.c" in the pfutil library. Also, check
out the 'x' key in perfly -- it uses the functions in snapwin.c
to write the screen image to a named file. The functions are
also listed in your IRIS Performer Reference Card.

We added the ability to snapshot either RGB or RGBA to
snapwin.c but did not make these features an integral part
of IRIS Performer. I'd presumed that the sources would be
enough "documentation", but perhaps we need to add a
description of the pfutil code to the Programmer's Guide so
that people will know what features are there.
