This could be an artifact of sorting. Try turning it off
through pfChanTravMode. Exactly how are you enabling highlighting?
Rather than pfGSetHlight you can try calling
pfApplyHlight/pfEnable(PFEN_HIGHLIGHT) in a pre DRAW callback and
calling pfDisable(PFEN_HIGHLIGHT) in the post DRAW callback.
