DB Paging

Hi,

I was reading in an old mail of someone who asked some
information about a database-paging functionality to be incorporated
in a future release of Performer.

I think that DB paging could be related to the problem of a run-time
loading/unloading of parts of a large terrain DB according to the
actual Viewpoint position, say LAT/LON (is it correct ?).

I'm (relatively) new to Performer & Visual Simulation so I like
to know if there is some documentation, articles, example,hints...etc..
relating to Terrain DB organization & management.

An example could be: if I have to simulate a fly through Italy
I don't like to load the entire Italy.flt (if any) DB but just
a "tile" (say Rome.flt). When I begin to leave Rome and approaching
Florence I-d like to load Florence.flt and unload the Rome.flt file
(say removing the node).
I know about spatial organization inside a single DB file, and I wonder
if there is something similar, for a "larger" (at higher level)
spatial organization among various Terrain DB files.

In short, any information about this topic would be of great interest!

Thanks in Advance
