Hi,

we want to implement the following setup:

Workplace 1: Graphics Console
"regular" Onux keyboard plugged in the keyboard input

Workplace 2: 2 Graphics Screens with MCO
SGI 15 pin keyboard (optical mouse attached to it)

We have only a 1 pipe Onyx, with an additional Serial IO Board (6 slots)!

The 2 keyboards are connected through a switch box to the "regular" keyboard
input of the onyx.

keyboard_1 <----------------|
(Graphics Console) V
                        switch_box -------> Onyx Keyboard Input
                            ^
keyboard_2 <----------------|
(MCO Screens)

We want to use this setup to run 2 workplaces, the keyboards enabled by
the corresponding switch box position.

SGI local office says: "...you can NOT unplug the keyboard if the
system is running."

I personally can not believe, that there is no possible solution
to the above idea. Any suggestions and existing/working solutions
are welcome.

Thanks in advance
