Hi Dietrich,
you must operate directly on the DCS matrix.
Try this:

pfMatrix scaling_mat;

pfMakeScaleMat(scaling_mat, scale_x, scale_y, scale_z);
pfDCSMat(your_dcs, scaling_dcs);
