I have an application where I need to take a number of 3d models
from an Intergraph MicroStation and eventually display them in
Performer. I am looking for help in determining how to convert
the models into a format suitable for a 3d modeling packages
such as ModelGen or whatever. MicroStation supports export
into DXF (which CANNOT be used because of the information lost in
conversion) and the IGES format. Does anyone know how to convert
a model in IGES into something Performer can read (like OpenFlight,
or IRIS Inventor, or whatever is appropriate)? Can someone point
me to a modeler program or a bit of conversion code?
Any assistance is deeply appreciated. Thanks!!
Sincerely,
