I'm a beginning performer programmer. I've written a system to place and
manipulate objects on a 3D terrain with a Motif 'control panel.' Being
completely ignorant of Performer when I started off, I did not design it
properly and now it will not multiprocess.
What I want to know is:
1) which operations are timing dependent and when should I do them
2) which operations need to be placed in the pre-Cull, post-Cull,
pre-Draw, post-Draw, and App processes
3) if there is a book besides the very thin Performer manual,
what is it called, and where can I get it.
I understand that there are apps out there to aid in building Performer
systems, but it is now morally imperative that I get this working on my own.
The system does some keyframing of objects in the scene (you can setup
keyframes on the fly), so I need to know when I can move the things
around and not kill the multiprocessing.
Multiprocessing is my bane.
Thank you,
B. Cabrera
